This or That? Comparing products that are similar - Feb 2020

Have you ever had a hard time picking between two brands of tomato paste at the store? How about choosing between a L'Oreal mascara versus a Maybelline mascara? We know the struggle and that's why we've created a new series of blog posts where we compare some of our most popular products --because not all beauty products that look similar are actually the same.

1. FOUNDATION STICK

The NYC Foundation Stick is a medium coverage stick with a matte finish. The formula is very long-lasting which makes it perfect for long days on the road. It naturally adds a layer of luminosity to your skin, giving it a healthy glow. It's perfect for oily and combination skin.

On the other hand, the NYX Foundation Stick is a multi-tasker. Besides foundation coverage it can also be used to highlight and contour.The creamy formula is mineral-based and suitable for all skin types.

2. LIPSTICK PALETTE

We've recently grown our collection of lip color palettes so you might be wondering which one you'd like to try first. The L'Oreal La Palette is an 8-pan palette with colors in all sorts of finishes. In the one palette you will find cream, matte, and highlighter. This clever palette allows you to have complete control over your look. You won't need anything else!

In the Maybelline 8-pan Lip Color Palette all colors deliver a velvety finish, but the intensity you get from each is stunning. The color pigmentation is super vibrant yet can be completely customized to the intensity you like.

3. BROW PENCIL

Some people say brow pencils are one of humanity's greatest creations. We agree. Having perfect eyebrows is a struggle. That's why tools like the Revlon ColorStay Brow Pencil or the Maybelline Brow Precise Micro Pencil are essential must-haves.

At a glance, these two pencils look exactly the same: they both have a spoolie brush and they're both retractable. However, Maybelline's micro brow pencil has a 1.5mm tip which allows you to draw strokes with precision to fill in specific spots in your brows. 4. MASCARA

Choosing the perfect mascara is truly a travesty. Do you want them longer, curlier, darker, fuller, more separated, or all of the above?

The Almay i-Color Volumizing Mascara is pretty straight-forward. The formula is ultra buildable, allowing you to customize the volume and boldness.
